Nice Tourism Barometer January 2011

Tourism activity in January 2011 was fair for the hotel which displays an equivalent total nights at 2007-2009, as well as for home offices and Information Office Tourism, which recorded a loss of 8% compared to January 2010. Apartment hotels provide once again a great performance with + 10% of nights. The volume of air trips increased slightly (+1%) but with an average length of stay down.

The festivities in full swing until 8 March, and will benefit, hopefully , a more clement weather. His Majesty King of the Mediterranean "and its fleet of tanks and whimsical burlesque make their last laps this weekend during the final parade scheduled for this 127th edition of Carnaval de Nice.

Despite severe weather conditions, the results of the traffic stopped on the second weekend is positive (+ 6.5% from last year) with a rate of satisfaction remains very high. Original production and ephemeral, the Carnival draws over one million spectators.
