Feel Giddy After 20 Mins Of Treadmill

Presentation

" Offerings - a rule for Stonehenge " is my first creation accomplished. I already did some tests, which unfortunately have not been completed at the end, but still in boxes waiting for days full of ideas ...

What motivated me, it is possible to restore the rule, a guarantee that it will be read and tested, in addition, the model was already done since it was part of the challenge. This was really a die-designer maidenhead fun.

I then made a site ( http://sylves.free.fr ) when talking about the event and share it with my family. Then I started on Facebook, but this does not seem satisfactory, too closed. That is why we are here today.

The rule is Creative Commons. It is a system which guaranteed a free license semblance of legal protection for the author ... simply, never having tested the legal practice, I'm not sure it actually works. At least it will do better.

Finally, the rule of this game is nothing without the box itself, which will probably not re-edited when it is exhausted, this game will never be anything but a gratuitous act to the community fun (French for I do not feel the force of translation ... now if it tries any of you ...).

download, please not!

I thank the team at the games library of Issy-les-Moulineaux who inspired me to create!

Offerings

Presentation Topic: Building your own dolmen to escape the authority of the High Druid.

The new High Druid Brunofaiduttix is a stickler on dogma. Tyrannical and uncompromising, he spends his time praying to compel his followers or to work for him. Acolytes (or 'Initiated by Prime Circle': apprentice druids) dream only of one thing: from to dolmen their own away from the authority of the High Druid. For this, they must gather the resources needed to build a new dolmen ... monolith by monolith ... Fortunately, there is a monolith of black market, and every insider went there this weekend, unless Brunofaiduttix remembers.

Every day, the High Druid load an insider clean the offerings of previous ceremonies. Insiders recover some of their benefit offerings for sacrifice at the altar of their future worship. The gods who receive the gifts, thanked the priest giving it the resources necessary to purchase its dolmen. With these resources they will buy monoliths.
When acting day, insiders will enjoy moments of inattention to recover Brunofaiduttix offerings, but at night they fly to other offerings Initiates the First Circle. Extremely jealous of them, they mutually s'espionnent and denounce their colleague at the slightest suspicion.

Nevertheless, Brunofaiduttix distrusts his henchmen and holds the eye. Some days, he chose one that will accompany all day-impossible for the young druid to do anything. It may even happen the day off of the insider, so he can not go to market. Other times it will require them to make their own offerings. Therefore, insiders hide and avoid ending up on the same box as the High Druid.

Presentation

Stonehenge is a game concept! In fact it's more box sets of the XXI century. The material is quite exotic: 5 dolmens each into three pieces, 50 pieces in 5 colors rounds, 50 sticks in 5 colors Druid 6 figures, a set of 65 cards and a special game board but no rule ... Finally, 5 by 5 written rules recognized game creators who were asked to establish their rule imposed on this material.

Oulipo is the game.

Among these artists, there Richard Borg ('BattleLore'), Richard Garfield ('Magic') and Bruno Faidutti (the only French team creator of two dozen games, including ' Citadel ',' The Valley of the mammoths', 'Democrazy', etc..). The other two are less known French : Mike Selinker (a version of 'Risk' and 'Key Largo' with B. Faidutti Randles and Paul) and James Ernest ('Kill Doctor Lucky ").

For more details, I invite you to read the newspaper creation of Stonehenge VO by Mike Selinker!

Contest

During the summer of 2008, I launched a competition to create a rule for the game box Stonehenge. The contest was organized by the Toy Library Issy-les-Moulineaux because the city at that time organized the first exhibition Bruno on Faidutti museum in French Playing Card .

For those who do not know, Faidutti Bruno is one of the great creators of games French. The list of his publications is proof.
There were about thirty people who have requested a description of gaming equipment organizers. Participants were given until September 15, 2008 to make their copies. The team then tested the toy library rules to select three finalists. These three rules were given to Mr. Faidutti will establish a final ranking.

I was fortunate to be selected among three finalists. When I learned, I invited all testers for a lively evening ;-) Thurs. I thank them again for their participation in the design of this game that night, we played at Time's Up and Democrazy. Throughout the week that followed I thought Bruno Faidutti playing with offerings.

Results

October 4, 2008 at the Toy Library of Issy-les-Moulineaux, Bruno Faidutti gave its final ranking:
  • The Five Suitors by Cedric Blaise
  • Offerings
  • Marathon Stonehenge by Theo Senate (then a young man minor)
I heard a photo of the moment! The evening

During the evening, we presented Bruno Faidutti Gambit 7 he provided translation / adaptation into French for Days of Wonder . Then we played and met Ludopathiques charming all evening: facilitators and users of the toy library! It gives me great memories! An article

was written by Limp 's website Jedisjeux where we see a picture of the winner Cedric Blaise none other than Limp ;-). There are also some very nice photos of the expo and Faidutti French Museum of Playing Cards .

Other games Stonehenge
