Section Tuesday, September 19 Bovet participated in the exercise Salvataggio under the direction of SFT. Initially, a tent set up with health and research injured in rubble and finally, early breakthrough in a tunnel (see Exercise HANNIBAL about it).
Once an injured person is located, is passed, as far as possible, a sarcophagus to transport it. The ruins are dangerous pieces of concrete that slide, the rebar exposed. One must be careful not to injure or rescuer or the victim.
Once the victim is strapped, she was back on the roof of the building. The openings in the various concrete slabs in order to connect the floors have been made to hammer or using a hydraulic coring system.
Outside, two rescuers hoisted the sarcophagus under the direction of the rescuers accompanying the victim. The order in which the victims are removed is determined by the section chief under the advice of a doctor.
